How is it even possible that this is you 2 years ago?

And this is you now?
How did we get so lucky to have such a sweet boy like you? You can be just as wild as your sister, but yet you are also so gentle and mild-mannered. You do throw fits, but usually you stop within a few minutes and are okay with what we are asking you to do. I know this could change, but for now it is nice to have you be so calm.Your favorite toys are still balls. You love to throw them and know the different between a baseball, soccer ball and football. You especially love to kick balls around and are really good at getting them right where you are aiming for. You love to go in the front yard with Daddy and kick the big blue ball high in the air.
You also like to sometimes play with cars (or choo-choos as you call them). You and Daddy set up the ramp on the couch and watch them fly off into the air. You think it is pretty funny. You like to point out the choo-choos as we are driving down the road.
You enjoy reading books while we are driving in the car and you like coloring in your Elmo book. You also like playing with stickers, so Sister got you those for your birthday. You always want to put the stickers on your back and we think it is because at church that is where we stick your nametag. You are pretty funny trying to do that yourself!
You still love playing with Sister (or Di-der) and her friends. Your favorites to call are Abby and Ellie and you will start yelling for them. You really love for Abby to play with you and she loves it too. She will sometimes ask the others to come and play with you. Even though she is 10 and you are 2, you are the best of friends. She loves to take you in the backyard to jump on the trampoline and swing. You also love going to Community Group on Tuesday nights because you get to play with Tennyson. As soon as we walk in Ms. Annalee's house you run for the bedroom to play with the toys.
Your speaking has really blossomed lately and you can say pretty much everything. You start chanting "Coo-key, Coo-key" when we get close to school because you know Ms. Susan is going to give you one when we walk through the office. You also always have to have "5-6" cookies, which means that you need 2 of them. Anytime you count something you say "5-6", which we don't know where that comes from.
Your favorite foods are pizza, crackers, cookies, Cheetos, yogurt, apples (bapples), bananas, grapes, blueberries, apple sauce, Spaghetti-O's, pancakes and toast. You are kindof a picky eater right now, but I think that is because you have 4 major teeth coming in right now. You are finally off of your formula at night and will drink warmed up milk. Last night we tried Ovaltine and you loved it!
You love to watch TV and your favorite shows right now are Doodlebops (B-Bops), Yo Gabba Gabba (B-la), Elmo (Mel-mo) and Barney. You can name all of the characters on Yo Gabba Gabba and you like for us to draw them for you on your Doodlesketch. You also love Moe on Doodlebops and ask to see him. You are quite the snuggler when we are watching TV and that is about the only time. Other times you like to do things on your own without any help. You are becoming quite independent.
You go between being a Mama's boy and a Daddy's boy. You don't really like for Mommy to put you to sleep anymore and that is your time with Daddy. You read books together and drink your milk and then he puts you in your crib. Daddy goes in with you in the middle of the night too if you wake up. However, Mommy usually does bathtime and you still love your bathtime, especially if Sister is in there with you. You both get crazy and start throwing your balls around at the wall. When you get out of your bath you like to sing "1 little, 2 little, 3 little Indians" except instead of the word Indian we sing people's names. You always request that I sing "Gigi" and "PePaw" first. Then if I say "Melee" you tell me to sing "Mark".
Easton, you are more precious than I could have ever imagined. I can't wait to see your friendship with Sister blossom as you love to play with her. I pray that God uses you in mighty ways in your own quiet way. I could just kiss your sweet face 1,000 times a day and to snuggle with you even when you are sweaty. Everyone always told me there was something special about little boys and I believe you have proved them right. We love you and could not have asked for a better you!
