Nothing to Wear?

Do you ever have the problem that you just don't have anything to wear? Well, that is me on pretty much an every day basis. I am in serious need of some shopping help!!! And I don't want to spend $50 on 1 shirt because um, I have kids and I can't have $50 shirts look nice for more than 1 wear! I Won What???!!!

Last night as I was getting stuff ready for dinner, my cell phone rang. I answered it and it was an Asian lady. I could not understand what she was saying and then she said "Congratulations!" My first thought was "Is this my mom's nail lady and she is calling to congratulate me on the pregnancy?" Then she said "Do you remember entering the contest at my store?" Again, I thought "Is this the nail lady or the lady that cuts my hair and I entered something?" I told her that I did not remember entering anything and was starting to get a little suspicious because you never know what people are trying to do. Then she said "I am with Helzberg Diamonds and you entered a contest at my store a few months ago". It was at that time that I did remember entering a contest.

Every 6 months I have to go into Helzberg Diamonds and have my wedding ring checked to keep up the warranty on it. When we were there back in February to have it done S had told me to enter a contest they were having. I didn't want to, but he kept saying to do it. Then the salesman said they had just gotten the box in for the contest cards and I would be the first one to put my entry in. So I filled out the card and apparently never thought anymore of it. Well, now 6 months later I was getting a call that I had won the contest!!! My prize is a 1/4 karat diamond!!! Now I know that this is just about the smallest size you can get, but still, it is a DIAMOND!!!

So, in my winning, I decided to do a little contest. Now, I can't give away a diamond, but I can give away some Fast Fixin' Chicken coupons. I know, whoopee! So, if you want to join in, tell me if you have ever won a contest and what it was.

Etsy Contest

I found this neat website a while ago where she showcases Etsy Shops. I enjoy looking at it because I love Etsy, but it is a little overwhelming sometimes with all the different sellers. I have found some really cute stuff on there. She is doing a contest right now where you can win a some headbands for baby girls! If I ever have another girl, I will definately be buying these and making the next child love bows!

Okay, since no one wanted a giveaway for my 500th post, I thought I would steal this idea from my friend Amanda and do another sort of Giveaway (I wouldn't have to steal it, but I was #6 and only 5 winners were allowed. Darn it!!!)

DQ Sweet Deal

I just saw that Dairy Queen is launching a new Value Menu. Our family loves DQ. EK knows that is where we get ice cream and we usually go there every Sunday night during the summer with Grandma and Grandpa. I think the Chicken Wrap, Drink and Onion Rings look delicious.

We have to make a deal with DQ on what we would do if we won the Sweet Deals for Free. I had to think about that one, but I think that once I finally had another child I could wear a shirt that said "Dairy Queen" as I would most definately be a "Dairy Queen" to that new little baby!!!
