Friday Favorites - Rainy Fall Edition

{1}
I painted the kid's bathroom a few weeks ago. It is a soft gray color and then we went for a pop of color in the light.

And in the accessories. Blue is one of my FAVORITE colors right now.

{2}
I got to have brunch with some of my FAVORITE girls on Saturday to celebrate
a new babe coming soon. Love doing life with these ladies.

{3}
I love getting these cardboard house things from ALEX for the kids to color.
It is one of my FAVORITE things to see them create it!

{4}
This was probably my FAVORITE laugh all week.
We didn't have power on Tuesday morning (the whole neighborhood was out).
I wore a maxi dress and it's a good thing I did because I looked down at my feet around 3:45
and realized I had 2 different shoes on! We have laughed so hard at this!

{5}
I picked these up at Walmart the other day and they are quickly becoming a
FAVORITE snack around our house. Even Scott, who doesn't like beans, said he didn't mind them.

{6}
My FAVORITE season is coming up and I just had to get the pumpkins out and start decorating

{7}
This necklace is becoming a FAVORITE because it goes with everything
and I can see this shirt becoming a FAVORITE too. So cozy!

{8}
And the drive in this morning was a FAVORITE because of the rain.
Though I would prefer to be snuggled at home with a good movie, I still love it when it rains.

Friday Favorites

{One}
Last Friday night, Scott and I went to Feast with the Beasts at the Houston Zoo
with some of my FAVORITE girls.
We had so much fun walking around the zoo and getting to taste yummy food.
My favorite was a shrimp curry that was from a Thai restaurant. (Who knew I liked Thai food!)
and then the flavored popcorn (which is one of my FAVORITE foods).
I already told Scott I want some cheesy ranch popcorn in my stocking this year!

{Two}
Saturday was my FAVORITE guy's birthday. We celebrated by going out to dinner
and then stopping for a treat on the way home.

{Three}
This might be my FAVORITE picture of Easton with my dad (his Pop).
They were all snuggly on the couch playing on the iPad before Pop had to go to work.

{Four}
And this is another FAVORITE picture of my grandparents.
My grandpa lives in assisted living now because of his Alzheimer's
We get to see him on Saturday evening and though it will be hard, I know it will be good to see him.

{Five}
My FAVORITE part of the week was that our office got new furniture and carpet after 20 years!
It looks soooo nice and you know, of course, I had my area decorated within the first 30 minutes.

Day 23 | Friday Favorites

Momfessionals

{One}
Yesterday I worked until 2:00pm and then Scott and I went to our FAVORITE girl's teacher conference.
We got nothing but a glowing report on her and the only concern is that she gets really anxious.
We have noticed over the last year that she has lots of anxiety about things,
I'm sure it has a lot to do with the changes and losing family members/pets that she has gone through this year.
But it is a tough time for her. Her teacher is helping her with this, but sometimes I wish that we had the teacher she had last year as she was a Christian and a mom and was much more compassionate towards her.
Anyways, it was a great report, but we need to keep encouraging her and praying with her about it.

{Two}
11:11 is EK's FAVORITE time; she got this idea that if you see the time, you should make a wish.
A couple of times this week, I have glanced at my phone clock and it has said 11:11

{Three}
We leave really early in the mornings for school, when it is still dark.
So even though it stinks to leave that early, some of my FAVORITE times is when we get to see the sunrise.
This was from yesterday and it was absolutely gorgeous!

{Four}
And this just might be my FAVORITE shirt of EK's now.
I have finally started my Christmas shopping and when I saw this online with an order I was placing, I just knew she had to have it.
I wish they made it in my size!

{Five}
The kids have this game on my phone (I don't even know what it's called), but it is their FAVORITE.
I always have these random pictures of beauty queens on my phone that they have saved after they create them. This would not be MY favorite thing.

Day 2 | Rush, Rush, Rush

Momfessionals
First of all, I am slightly addicted to this snack. Delicious!!!

 Probably my most FAVORITE thing was that yesterday was my grandma's 77th birthday. Her sweet nieces, Brook and Dindy, flew in from Oklahoma and surprised her for her birthday. She has not hugged their necks in almost 2 years.
We get to see them on Saturday and I haven't seen them since 2006. Too long!

After school/work, I picked the kids up and we ran home to eat dinner really quick.
{This was my least FAVORITE part because we were rushed, rushed, rushed}
Then we got back in the car and went to the library.
Then we got back in the car and went to EK's dance class.
Easton entertained himself by throwing rocks outside.

Then we went to Easton's back to school night.
Easton got to sing his FAVORITE song of "LOOK"

I picked these cute spiders up at Walmart yesterday and this might be some of my
FAVORITE Halloween decorations
(sorry for the terrible picture, but they are super cute!)

Along with this owl being a close 2nd FAVORITE

Friday Favorites

Momfessionals
 {One}
My Favorite 4 year old boy started soccer last week. He is so excited.
Hopefully his game won't be rained out tomorrow and we can see him play for real!

{Two}
It has been raining for about 4 days now. My Favorite weather is the rain, but wish I was home in my PJs to enjoy it.

{Three}
We celebrated my mom's birthday on Saturday by taking her to lunch
and then to a craft sale, which is one of my Favorite things to do.
Next time we will leave the kids at home,
but it was fun to all be together. We then finished the night by having grilled chicken
at my house for dinner.

{Four}
Last night was Back to School night at EK's school.
One of Favorite things to do is getting to see all of their stuff.
This year is tough and she wants to go back to second grade,
but her teacher said last night that she is a friend to everyone,
which was our prayer for her this year.

Friday Favorites - Trying to get back into blogging

Momfessionals
{One}
School has started. As much as I love the freedom of summer, I equally love the start of school and the routine of it. Bring on the fall!!!

{Two}
It was raining one afternoon last week and Easton looked out the car window and said
"The summer clouds are still here"!

{Three}
EK in her element: cooking dinner (and that is not a beer bottle, for anyone wondering"

{Four}
We had a LaborDay/End of Summer party on Sunday night. The kids had a blast playing with their friends with this glow in the dark stuff.

 Don't mind my weird face, but isn't this funny that I had the same shirt on as one of my sweet neighbors! And to make it funnier, we both bought it about 5 years ago at TJ Maxx!

Most of the sweet neighbor girls!

{Five}
And we are so blessed that all the neighbors like hanging out together.
This was Monday morning with a bunch of us got together at Ms. Candace's house to swim

Five on Friday

THE GOOD LIFE BLOG

{ONE}
Easton is really into Super Heroes right now. I usually don't like character type shirts, but when we ran across this one for EmmyKate I knew we had to get it. It made Easton so happy (and it's cute enough that I wish they had it in my size)!

{TWO}
Found this on Pinterest last week; it is now the screensaver on my phone.
Such a good reminder to look at every day

{THREE}
Next Friday I am going on a women's retreat with my church. It is the first time in over 7 years that I have gone on a trip without kids or husband. This is much, much needed and I couldn't be more excited!!!

{FOUR}
First, I found this ice cream at the store the other day and tried it last night and it is heavenly!

Also, I had Wright's Green Salsa at a friend's house the other night and I can't stop thinking about it.
I think it might be on the list to go and get at lunch today!

{FIVE}
I can't wait for the cooler weather. It is taking all my will power to not put out the fall decorations and light a pumpkin candle. I really, really want to walk outside and not start sweating immediately.

Five on Friday

{ONE}
EmmyKate is very into doing craft projects. I am now keeping canvases on stock at the house because you never know when the painting mood is going to strike you.

{TWO}
She is also obsessed with the idea that we need to build a playhouse in the backyard. We really don't want to, but she has come up with a very good plan with her drawing of the house and figuring out how many boards we need. We might need to work on her math with this project since she thinks we need 19 boards for the sides, 2 boards for the roof, 62 boards for the floor, 1 doorknob, 1 door, 1 box of screws and 2 boxes of nails.

{THREE}
I am obsessed with asparagus right now. I had them at a neighbor's house a month or so ago and I love them now. They are delicious and you have to try this recipe if you have never had them before.

{FOUR}
My sweet Grandma was in the hospital earlier this week. We went up to visit her and got to see Tucker while we were there. Easton loves his cousin.

{FIVE}
After the last 2 weeks of work, I am ready for this to be the weekend. I am beyond exhausted and need to sleep for about 2 days.
