Home Again!

We just got home from a weekend away with my family to New Braunfels' and Schlitterbahn. We had lots of fun and it was very relaxing.

On Friday night when we got there, EK had to immediately start playing with Uncle David. She demanded to be flipped about 20 times.

Then the girls went to Walmart to get groceries for the weekend. When we got back we took a walk down to the Comal River which was just a block away from where we were staying. This is the house that we were staying in.

And a group shot (with S behind the camera and my Dad and Melee's boyfriend inside)

We didn't float, but it sure looked nice and cool since it was so hot!

We stayed up late that night playing Phase 10 and making up songs to everything that someone said at the table. We had a lot of fun just laughing and staying up late without little kids.
Then on Saturday we got up and went to Schlitterbahn. It was only a short walk away from the house. EK laughed the whole time; she was having so much fun. She loved to get the water splashed on her and could not get enough of the rides. She hated standing in the line, but as soon as we got off the "ride" she was asking to go ahead. It was a definate hit!
We stayed up late again last night playing a new game (to most of us) called Golf. It was a pretty fun game, though I was a little slow at it because I was so tired (EK had decided to be awake for 2 hours in the middle of the night wanting Mimi). Some of us drank sangria wine and others of us just ate Oreos.
This morning we got up and S and Uncle David made us pancakes, bacon and sausage. Then we packed up and went to Gruene for a little while. We drove back through the River Road, Devil's Backbone and San Marcos.

We can't wait to do it again next year!

Ahh I love the hill country! Your trip sounded SO fun. That's interesting to know EK enjoyed Schlitterbahn so much...maybe next summer we'll be taking Hazel then!

If she is any kind of dare devil, she will love it. There were lots of little kid stuff too in case she doesn't like the adult rides.
